Description
Dendrobium delicatum is an extremely easy orchid that anyone can grow. It is a naturally occurring hybrid that comes from Australia where it can handle temperatures near freezing in the winter, and near triple digits in the summer. It is a robust orchid that tolerates a wide range of conditions, making it perfect for the beginning orchid grower. Its long-lasting blooms (around a month) also produce a beautiful fragrance. You can easily grow it indoors in the home or office, or outdoors on a patio. Temperatures into the mid-30s F are fine; cooler temperatures coupled with dry conditions help it set buds for the next blooming. It will readily adapt to almost any kind of loose media such as bark or even rocks (it is also known as the rock orchid). It only needs light, water, and occasional fertilizing to thrive. Dendrobium delicatum would make a perfect addition to any orchid or plant collection, or a wonderful gift for someone who enjoys growing beautiful plants. Please note: plant will be shipped bare root (out of pot) wrapped in a bit of moss. It can be planted in any kind of draining media in any material pot that allows drainage.
